I’m In – SP7

I signed up for
SP7. I think this should be tons of fun. And since I don’t have to make anything, I should manage to meet the deadlines. I’ve already starting thinking of what fun things I can send.
Of course I won’t give myself away by revealing it here. The deadline to sign up is quickly approaching, January 4th, so sign up if you want in on
Secret Pal 7.

I’ll try to be good about regular posts and pictures of course. I revived by blog so that I could participate in SP7. My intent is to post regularly and share with others. I’m an avid reader of knitting blogs and they are a great resource.

Progress continues on my 2nd My Hat of Choice (for my Mom), in Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted. I was worried that this would not get gauge of 4 sts per inch but on my #9 Denise needles I get the same gauge as I did with the Manos. (Obviously, I never bothered to swatch). I guess the Manos is a bit loftier, so it seems thicker. This is one of those hats that if I hadn’t seen it on a person, I probably wouldn’t have knitted it, but I really like it. If you are looking for a quick knit gift hat, this is the one. Thanks to SouleMama for the great pattern.

I love using free patterns. I subscribe to Interweave Knits, Rowan, and Rebecca magazine, but I’ve only made one (uncompleted) sweater from Rebecca and nothing from the others. I guess I’m one of those magazine and catalog people, who reads and looks at them even though I rarely purchase or (in the case of knitting) make anything from them.

On the subject of Rowan Magazine, I was really disappointed with the Rowan 38 and I’ve decided not to subscribe this year. I’d really like the Kid Silk Haze included in the member gift, but with the price increase, I’m just not sure I want to bother. There wasn’t anything in Rowan 38 that I liked and absolutely nothing I would ever actually think of making. I miss Louisa Harding’s patterns, but sadly I haven’t been impressed with her solo offerings.

Life has been a bit crazy with selling our house and not knowing where we plan to move (crazy, I know). At least the holidays are over. My consulting gig continues until the end of January. After that, who knows. They may extend it or not. Anyone looking to hire a Weblogic/Java/C/C++ developer?

On to purchase I ordered a skein of Rowan Calmer in light blue to make Shedir. I’m into arans and cables. Two skeins of Dale Hauk, which has Teflon in the yarn to protect against the weather.
I scored at Personal Threads Sale. Everything is 20% off. So of course I ordered stuff, the harder to find stuff that usually isn’t on sale.

Pondering about Needles

I recently decided to give Bryspun dp needles a try. And … I really like them. I still don’t care for dp needles very much (awkward, and fall off too easily). I like the points. Points are one thing that is missing from my favorite Addi Turbo circular needles. If I had Addi’s in every size, I’d still want a pointer needle for lace knitting and cables. So the needles I like are Addi circs, Aero circs (they have a pointy tip), Bryspun db (have yet to try the circs), and Denise needles. I just order a 12” Addi Turbo circular needle in size #1 for sock knitting. I don’t know if I’ll like this small circumference but I though it would make my sock knitting go faster, so I’ll give it a try. I currently use one 36” or larger circular needle for socks. (Addi or Crystal Place). I haven’t yet tried the Inox express needles. I’m unclear whether you can get a long one in a #0 or #1, the size I usually use for sock knitting. Most place online that I’ve check out don’t carry the small sizes in a long needle.

Generic Viagra (sildenafil citrate; brand names include: Aphrodil / Edegra / Erasmo / Penegra / Revatio / Supra / Zwagra) is an effective treatment for erectile dysfunction regardless of the cause or duration of the problem or the age of the patient.
Sildenafil Citrate is the active ingredient used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence) in men. It can help men who have erectile dysfunction get and sustain an erection when they are sexually excited.
Generic Viagra is manufactured in accordance with World Health Organization standards and guidelines (WHO-GMP). Also you can find on our sites.
Generic Viagra is made with thorough reverse engineering for the sildenafil citrate molecule - a totally different process of making sildenafil and its reaction. That is why it takes effect in 15 minutes compared to other drugs which take 30-40 minutes to take effect.
Even in the most sexually liberated and self-satisfied of nations, many people still yearn to burn more, to feel ready for bedding no matter what the clock says and to desire their partner of 23 years as much as they did when their love was brand new.
The market is saturated with books on how to revive a flagging libido or spice up monotonous sex, and sex therapists say “lack of desire” is one of the most common complaints they hear from patients, particularly women.
